State Grid Shizuishan pioneers new system for efficiency and safety
State Grid Shizuishan Power Supply Company launched a pilot project for intelligent diagram-to-ticket generation in distribution network dispatching on Oct 10.
This innovative system tackles the inefficiencies and safety risks of manually preparing dispatch orders, replacing them with a new, digital "system-generated tickets and manual check" model.
As the nerve center of the power grid, the accuracy of dispatch orders is critical. It directly impacts outage restoration times, the consumer experience, and industrial safety.
Traditionally, creating these orders was a slow and error-prone process. Dispatchers had to manually cross-reference maintenance plans with complex single-line diagrams, a task that could take 20 minutes per plan and was vulnerable to human error.
The new system revolutionizes this workflow. By integrating with the existing digital dispatch system, it creates a seamless, closed-loop process. The system uses real-time grid data to ensure the on-screen diagram always matches the actual physical network.
To create an order, a dispatcher simply selects the outage equipment and marks the area on a visual map. The system then automatically performs topology checks and generates a standardized order ticket, pushing it directly to the review stage.
This innovation slashes the average ticket preparation time from 20 minutes to under 5 minutes — an efficiency gain of over 75 percent. Dispatchers involved in the testing reported that the system not only simplifies their work but also provides greater operational confidence by eliminating the risk of manual entry errors.
The system also enhances safety. By standardizing instructional logic and minimizing manual input, it significantly reduces the risk of operational errors, acting as double insurance for grid safety.
This project is a key part of State Grid Shizuishan's commitment to the digital transformation and "smart distribution network" initiatives.
The company plans to continue refining the system's functions to further improve power supply reliability and provide stable, efficient support for local economic development.
