On Sept 18, at the Chenjiagou International Tai Chi Culture Exchange Center — located in Jiaozuo city in China's Central Henan province — staff from State Grid Jiaozuo Power Supply Company were busy on an important job.

They were carrying out real-time equipment monitoring and on-site power assurance measures to maintain a stable electricity supply throughout the push-hands competition of the local 12th China Jiaozuo International Tai Chi Championship.

Throughout the games, the company closely monitored real-time load changes at competition venues, optimized grid operation methods and strengthened patrol inspections of substations and transmission lines.

Key positions were staffed with personnel for uninterrupted monitoring, while backup generators and UPS systems were deployed at critical points to enhance power reliability.

Since tai chi was added to UNESCO's intangible cultural heritage list in 2020, Jiaozuo has hosted more than 100 tai chi competitions each year.

State Grid Jiaozuo Power Supply Company has actively supported these events with high-quality electricity services — contributing to the promotion of tai chi culture and the development of the local cultural and tourism economy.
