State Grid Dingxi builds 'zero-carbon' power supply station
Pingxiang Power Supply Station, the first "Smart Energy, Green Zero-Carbon" power supply station in Tongwei county, Dingxi, Gansu province, built by State Grid Dingxi Power Supply Company, was officially put into operation on Sept 5.
The launch marks another step in building a new power system and reducing carbon emissions on the consumption side.
The company has long anchored its efforts to the "carbon peaking" and "carbon neutrality" goals, accelerating the construction of a new power system and steadily raising the share of clean energy in the Dingxi grid. After assessing the infrastructure and operations of 53 local power supply stations and leveraging Tongwei county's advantage as a clean energy base, the company chose Pingxiang as its pilot zero-carbon station.
The site is equipped with a 50kW distributed photovoltaic system, a 60kW new energy storage system, and a combined AC-DC integrated charging facility. With its microgrid, the station can meet its own green power needs while cutting emissions through energy-saving upgrades and paperless office practices.
The station's transformation centers on six themes: "zero-carbon travel", "green electricity supply", "energy storage regulation", "energy conservation and carbon reduction", "zero-carbon business", and "system demonstration".
Inside the business hall, functional areas include a "dual carbon" policy information zone, a green electricity and certificate service desk, an electricity trading area, a science education space on new power systems, a zero-carbon interactive zone, and an achievement display section. Carbon consulting and market trading services are also available.
