Wenquan town, located in Weihai, Shandong, has made significant strides in enhancing the protection of insurance consumer rights through innovative dispute mediation mechanisms. By establishing a "one-stop" mediation center, incorporating specialized mediation organizations, and strengthening collaboration with judicial departments, Wenquan town has managed to streamline the dispute resolution process, ensuring timely and efficient handling of insurance claims.

The town's proactive approach to dispute resolution has yielded remarkable results. In 2024 alone, 14 insurance disputes were successfully mediated, with a total value exceeding 1 million yuan ($137,696). This success can be attributed to the town's commitment to accessibility, transparency, and professionalism.

To ensure that consumers have convenient access to dispute resolution services, Wenquan town has actively promoted the "Shandong Mediation Code" WeChat mini-program, enabling consumers to file claims online around the clock. Additionally, the town has publicly disclosed multiple dispute resolution channels, fostering trust and satisfaction among consumers.

Furthermore, the town has assembled a team of experienced mediators, including legal consultants, judges, police officers, veterans, and industry professionals. This diverse team brings a wealth of expertise to the mediation process, ensuring fair and impartial outcomes.
