Weihai, a coastal city in Shandong province, is embarking on a comprehensive urban construction initiative to enhance its cityscape and improve the quality of life for its residents. This year, the city plans to undertake 131 key construction projects, with work on 111 of them already underway as of April.

One of the most notable projects is the Weihai Bay City Complex, which is set to be a vibrant hub of entertainment, leisure, and business activities. The project encompasses a harbor park, a digital oceanarium, outdoor landscaping and sports facilities, and an underground parking lot. Scheduled for completion by the end of this year, it is expected to become a new landmark for Weihai.

In Rongcheng, Weihai, 26 residential communities are undergoing renovations to upgrade their aging gas pipeline infrastructure. By the end of April, 55 percent of construction work had been completed. The renovations are not only intended to enhance the convenience of daily life for residents but also significantly to reduce potential safety hazards associated with the gas system.

Weihai's approach to these construction projects is characterized by meticulous planning and efficient execution. The city has broken down the construction tasks into specific responsibilities with clear deadlines, ensuring that projects are initiated promptly, progress smoothly, and any issues are addressed swiftly.
