Ningjin is a small county in Dezhou city, Shandong province. In the history of modern Chinese literature, it is famous for an epic novel called Dadaoji, published in 1975 by the writer Guo Chengqing.

The novel weaves together war, human emotions, and the social changes in China spanning nearly 40 years from the late Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) to China's victory in the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression (1931-45). It chronicles the epic history of resistance by the people of northern Shandong under the brutal rule of Japanese invaders and traitors.

The Ningjin County Cultural Arts Center has selected nearly 30 cultural relics, including manuscripts of the novel and swords used by the Red Army during the war, to exhibit. Additionally, a dedicated area for the TV drama Dadaoji features stills and behind-the-scenes footage from the series, vividly capturing its spirit.
