Harvest bounty and innovations thrive in Gaomi
In Zhujiazhuang village of Jiaohe community, Gaomi, Weifang, the peak harvest season for over 100 hectares of watermelons recently arrived, marking a period of agricultural abundance.
At the same time, Gaomi's leading agricultural enterprises are bustling with activity as workers sort and store vast amounts of potatoes destined for international markets, including Russia and Malaysia.
A significant portion of these potatoes will be processed into value-added products such as French fries, potato towers, and potato chips, enhancing the profitability of the agricultural sector.

Jiaohe community has made significant strides in developing fruit planting industries, focusing on watermelons, crisp pears, and honey peaches. This has led to the establishment of several professional villages that are pivotal to the collective economy and growing incomes for local farmers.
Supporting and strengthening regional agricultural enterprises, Jiaohe community is embarking on a path of rural vitalization that leverages enterprises to drive village development and industries, thus enriching the populace.
In the southern hilly areas, over 80 percent of farmers cultivate a variety of crisp pear, which accounts for the majority of their income. The region's planting area has expanded to more than 100 hectares, creating a renowned high-quality fruit industry belt in the Jiaodong Peninsula.
