Shandong district develops community employment
Kuiwen district – located in Weifang city, Shandong province – has focused on achieving high-quality and sufficient employment, continuously advancing its community employment action plan since last year.
Monthly updates on employment service progress are consistently released across various sectors, creating employment and entrepreneurial opportunities through community canteens, domestic services, and convenience repair stations, thereby enhancing the community's public employment service system.
To ensure the sustainability of employment services, Kuiwen district has integrated job incubation with the needs of residents, identifying gaps in community public services and developing employment opportunities in elderly care, childcare, and medical assistance. Additionally, the district has established multiple community workshops, marketing resident-crafted products via the e-commerce platform Taobao.
To enhance residents' skills, Kuiwen district has launched an online training app with 56 categories of courses and established community lecture halls and night schools in 70 communities across the district, offering training in areas like e-commerce and domestic services.
Furthermore, Kuiwen district has initiated a program to bring human resource service agencies into the community. Driven by collaboration between property management and human resource service agencies, it provides employment-centered services such as social security, rights protection, and dispute mediation, aiming to foster community harmony and stability through stable employment and increased income for residents.
