Shandong district enhances land trusteeship service chain
Hedong district, Linyi, Shandong province, is utilizing its supply and marketing cooperative to strategically focus on and excel in land trusteeship, drive the scientific cultivation of grains, promote the innovative allocation of production factors, and continually expand its field trusteeship service chain to safeguard grain production and sales.
With wheat now entering the harvest season, technicians in Hedong are sampling spikes to assess yields. Back in late April, when wheat reached this season's pustulation period, the supply and marketing cooperative initiated the cultivation of the next batch of rice seedlings. In routine field management, the agricultural company of the cooperative effectively leverages the expertise of technicians and conducts timely and scientifically sound water, fertilizer, and disease management practices to support the crops on the farm.

By entrusting the supply and marketing agricultural company with the full spectrum of responsibilities from plowing to selling, farmers and village collectives benefit from a model which combines fixed income with profit sharing. This arrangement allows farmers to confidently pursue off-farm work and other ventures, while the supply and marketing agricultural company optimizes costs through province-wide collaboration, centralized procurement of agricultural inputs, and coordinated agricultural machinery operations.

While prioritizing the safety of grain harvesting, Hedong district has forged a cooperative agreement with the China Grain Reserves Group and is actively expanding connections in grain processing and other industrial sectors to elevate the quality and branding of agricultural products.
