Key projects infuse vibrant energy into rural vitalization
Weihai city in Shandong province has outlined 98 key projects for rural vitalization this year, with 96 projects already underway. These initiatives receive a total investment of 4.89 billion yuan ($674.13 million) and encompass various sectors such as social welfare, modern agriculture, and rural infrastructure.
With robust assistance from relevant departments, numerous projects have commenced operations. For instance, the blueberry base project of Baixing Agriculture Co Ltd in Rushan, a county-level city administered by Weihai. Currently, the blueberry tissue culture research and development center and the blueberry seedling greenhouse in the third phase of the project are operational.
Another fast-moving project is the ecological demonstration base of the Little Tiger Ecological Park in Rongcheng city, administered by Weihai. The project is now in its final stages, with the expansion of vegetable greenhouses, vegetable distribution centers, indoor pet amusement parks, and supporting facilities largely completed.
The rapid advancement in construction can be attributed to the efficient services provided. This year, the agricultural and rural affairs bureau of Weihai has implemented improvements in project management, guaranteeing early completion and operation of various projects through a structured system with dedicated, responsible personnel. Regular monthly progress evaluations are carried out to promptly tackle any potential issues, ensuring swift progress of projects while upholding safety and quality standards.
