The 91,000-mu (about 6066.7 hectares) high-quality grain production base in Xiangzhou town, Zhucheng, Shandong province, is one of eight demonstration areas for increasing wheat yields in Zhucheng.
To achieve high grain yields, finding suitable and superior varieties is key. In recent years, Xiangzhou town has divided its farmland based on soil, sunlight, water sources, and other conditions. Through experiments, Jimai 22, Jimai 23, and Luyuan 502 have emerged as the main wheat varieties to be promoted.

Zhucheng is a major agricultural city and grain production center. This year, the wheat harvesting area in Zhucheng exceeds 1.08 million mu (about 72,000 hectares). The main summer grain production area focuses on the "harvesting, transportation, and drying" process.
By implementing measures such as reducing losses during machine harvesting and establishing early-matching drying sites, the city aims to safeguard wheat production and quality through superior varieties, machinery, and methods. The goal is to stabilize wheat production at over 390,000 metric tons, setting the pace for bountiful grain harvests throughout the year. (Edited by Huang Junyao)
