Weihai's Wendeng district in Shandong has made continuous efforts to cultivate new quality productive forces this year and has encouraged local enterprises to explore new areas and seize new opportunities, continuously unleashing new momentum for industrial development.

Weihai Liyu Industrial Co Ltd produces educational tools and mainly targets kindergartens, elementary and middle schools, and vocational colleges.

"Although we have a foundation and experience in tool production, our previous customers were in the mechanical and transportation fields. Education is a completely new field for us, so in the process of promoting new products, we may encounter some challenges. For example, we are not very familiar with what kinds of tools children like, the size of their palms, or their grip preferences," said Zhang Wenlu, the company's sales manager.

To ensure smooth progress on the new project, Wendeng district has provided tailor-made services to the company, gathered feedback from schools and students, and promoted the landing and promotion of labor education tools in multiple schools in Weihai.

"With the government's assistance, we have not only opened up the local market but also collaborated with some schools in Beijing, Shanghai, and Wenzhou. Additionally, we will customize designs according to schools' needs. The outlook is very promising, and we anticipate a doubling of sales this year compared to the same period last year," said Wang Lihua, the Industrial Design Department Manager of Weihai Liyu Industrial Co Ltd.
