In order to further regulate water intake and promote the efficient and intensive utilization of water resources, Weihai in East China's Shandong province recently launched a series of activities to investigate and rectify illegal water intake.

To further deepen the special operation, the Weihai Water Affairs Service Center organized 20 staff members into seven teams based on regional divisions. They provided on-site guidance and actively cooperated with relevant personnel to visit streets and enterprises, conducting in-depth and meticulous inspections of water intake households within their jurisdiction. They have established four lists related to water intake, helping both sides better understand the water intake situation in the area. So far, a total of 314 units and communities have completed water intake inspections.

During the inspection process, efforts have been made to educate water intake households about water laws and regulations. Over 4,800 promotional materials have been distributed to guide the public in developing correct water intake practices and raising their water conservation awareness. Building on comprehensive inspections and rectification of issues, they will further improve the water resource supervision system, establish a mechanism for multi-party cooperation and information sharing, and enhance the standardization of water resource management. (Edited by Xie Zhenzhen)
