Shandong county ready for wheat harvest season

Over 60 million mu (around 4 million hectares) of wheat in Shandong province is gradually being harvested. In these early summer days, farmers in Chengwu county, Shandong province, have been reaping a bountiful wheat harvest and are taking advantage of excellent weather to harvest around 740,000 mu of farmland in the city.
This year, Chengwu county has used a total of 1.2 million kilowatts of energy powering agricultural machinery for summer production, with a total of 13,000 tractors and around 3,000 wheat combine harvesters.
The local government has not only strengthened the work of agricultural machinery and material reserves, safety training, and maintenance guidance, but has also collaborated with multiple departments including public security, fire protection, and emergency management to establish an emergency service network. They have intensified emergency standby, mobile services, and volunteer services, taking multiple measures and going all out to ensure a successful and efficient summer production campaign.
