Caoxian county is home to the largest domestic production base of hanfu (traditional Chinese clothing of the Han ethnic group).

The Zhuzhang village, located in Sunlaojia town, Caoxian county, has embraced the recent hanfu trend, leveraging local resources to establish a "hanfu e-commerce village". This initiative has not only attracted social capital but also provided a catalyst for stimulating rural economic development from within.

A conducive development environment is crucial for fostering competitive industries in rural areas. Zhuzhuang village stands out as one of the pioneering "Taobao villages", with a rich history in the clothing industry and a strong foundation for e-commerce entrepreneurship. To further bolster its e-commerce development, Zhuzhuang village repurposed vacant school buildings, secured over 1 million yuan ($138,135) in capital for the construction of a Taobao industrial park, and enhanced surrounding infrastructure to support enterprise growth.

The local Party branch in Zhuzhuang village has played a pivotal role in promoting the harmonious development of the e-commerce clothing industry. It has issued a development directive tailored to the village's circumstances, fostering external collaborations between village enterprises and renowned hanfu brands. Simultaneously, it has internally encouraged individual e-commerce operators to relocate their processing facilities to the industrial park.

Zhuzhuang village, with its sights set on a bright future, places a high priority on talent acquisition. To attract individuals with e-commerce expertise, it has established a 4,000-square-meter e-commerce display hall to showcase the village's development and promote high-quality garment productions. Moreover, the village goes the extra mile by providing accommodation for job seekers and organizing symposiums to gather insights and advice from talented individuals, demonstrating its commitment to nurturing the next generation of e-commerce leaders.

The Zhuzhuang's Taobao industrial park has become a magnet for numerous enterprises. With over 1,500 suits of hanfu sold nationwide every day, the industry has created nearly 100 new jobs in the village, with each employee earning an average monthly salary exceeding 4,000 yuan. The village is now in a favorable situation, reaping the benefits of its innovative approach. (Edited by Zhang Ying)
