A delegation led by Ellen R. Judd, an anthropologist and professor at the University of Manitoba, Canada, recently paid a visit to Lingcheng district in Dezhou, East China's Shandong province.
Judd had previously visited Lingcheng in the 1980s, residing there for several weeks while conducting research. During that time, she developed a deep relationship with the local villagers.
During their recent visit, Judd and the delegation explored the region's rich history and culture by visiting historical sites and exhibition halls. She was particularly impressed by the cultural heritage of Lingcheng and its significant achievements in rural development over the years.
Expressing her admiration, Judd expressed her intention to continue using Lingcheng as a model for her anthropological research. She emphasized the importance of strengthening exchanges and mutual learning to promote further development.
