In the intelligent factory of Dong'e Blue Sky and Seven Color Building Materials Co in Dong'e county, Liaocheng, Shandong province, workers are skillfully operating computers.
Within this workshop lies a world-leading aluminum-plastic panel intelligent composite production line. "With just six workers, the production line can manufacture over 5,000 sheets and more than 20,000 square meters of panels per day, increasing production efficiency by over 40 percent and reducing production costs by around 15 percent," said company chairman Yan Changyong.
The company plans to invest over 20 million yuan ($2.7 million) in equipment upgrades to establish itself as a model enterprise in the intelligent manufacturing of green building materials.
The enterprise epitomizes Dong'e's commitment to innovation-driven development, actively unlocking the potential and efficiency of traditional industries while strategically developing emerging industries to foster a more open and advanced economy.
Continuously accumulating new momentum, creating new advantages, and unleashing new potential, Dong'e has achieved a total output value of 2.3 billion yuan across the industries of gelatin and "gelatin plus", biopharmaceuticals, high-end equipment manufacturing, and new building materials, a 12 percent year-on-year growth. The health industry has seen an output value of 1.24 billion yuan, a 17.8 percent increase.
"We are focusing on driving the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries, cultivating emerging sectors such as biopharmaceuticals and health care, and supporting the high-quality development of the count," said Liu Mingrui, director of the development and reform bureau of Dong'e county.
