Trade-in program injects new vitality into market
During the recent May Day holiday, Hedong district, Linyi, East China's Shandong province, launched a trade-in program focusing on home appliances, automobiles, and home furnishings, offering convenience and affordability to consumers and promoting consumption upgrades.
This year, Hedong district conducted various trade-in promotions for home appliances through subsidies, discounts, and other services. Home appliance companies and community workers conducted comprehensive promotional activities in communities, explaining the specifics of the trade-in program to residents and teaching them about the use of home appliances.
Additionally, the district implemented the trade-in policy for automobiles, organizing trade-in and sales events during the peak sales season of the May Day holiday. The district also held a home decoration and home furnishings shopping festival to propel a renewal in the popularity of home decoration and furnishings.
This year, Hedong district has viewed the trade-in program as a crucial measure to restore and expand consumption. Collaborating with companies, the district launched a comprehensive trade-in promotion covering multiple categories such as automobiles, home appliances, and home furnishings. Promoting the trade-in of consumer goods aligns with the trend of upgrading consumption concepts. "The district's bureau of commerce will continue guiding companies to collaborate with upstream production enterprises to introduce preferential policies and organize a variety of activities to better meet citizens' demands for a high-quality and personalized trade-in system," said Sun Siling, vice-president of the international trade promotion association of Hedong district.
