In recent years, Lanling town in the Lanling county of Linyi city, East China's Shandong province, has actively established seedling bases, creating employment opportunities for local residents.
Now is the crucial season for transplanting seedlings. Stepping into the seedling greenhouses in Lintun village of Lanling town, the vegetable seedlings are flourishing and vibrant. Farmers are working diligently, laying a strong foundation for this year's harvest.
Within the greenhouses, there is ample sunlight, humid air, and ideal temperatures. Lintun village has introduced automated equipment for vegetable seedlings, and an automatic control system for the seedling environment, and has upgraded essential infrastructure like water, electricity, and roads. The greenhouses are primarily cultivating seedlings of broccoli, chili peppers, cabbage, and other varieties. The village is actively promoting new technologies, guiding farmers to enhance their employment opportunities and income.
Rural vitalization hinges on industry, and industrial development relies on distinct features. The seedling base project in Lanling town can produce two to three batches of seedlings annually, more than enough to meet the seedling needs of villagers. It plays a vital role in advancing the transformation and enhancement of the vegetable industry throughout the town, fostering sustainable growth in the agricultural economy. Additionally, the establishment of rural cooperatives further contributes to boosting income for farmers. (Edited by Du Xiaping)
