In recent years, Hedong district, Linyi, East China's Shandong province, has fast-tracked the development of low-carbon rural areas, promoting household photovoltaic installations. By combining green energy with rural vitalization, the district has brought tangible benefits to local farmers, fostering beautiful rural landscapes and prosperous communities.

One notable example is Xiaoyoujia village in Zhengwang town, Hedong, where a "photovoltaic avenue" will boost the village's income by 200,000 yuan ($27,684) upon grid connection.

To establish a city-wide photovoltaic manufacturing showcase, Hedong is actively promoting the development of the Photovoltaic Intelligent Manufacturing Industrial Park. The goal is to create a smart manufacturing park for the entire photovoltaic product chain that can generate a total output value of more than 100 billion yuan within three to five years.

Linyi Licheng New Energy, located in this industrial park, stands out as the city's flagship project. Thanks to cutting-edge automated production lines, the single-line production capacity of the company's high-speed string welding machine exceeds 800 megawatt and its conversion efficiency rate surpasses 23 percent.

Looking ahead to 2024, Hedong will focus on integrating light, storage, and charging in the photovoltaic industry. Key projects such as Licheng New Energy Phase II will be accelerated, with a specific emphasis on advancing the charging pile industry. Hedong will also strive for breakthroughs in the energy storage, inverter, and photovoltaic diaphragm sectors, driving the holistic development of the photovoltaic industrial park.
