Joint efforts to support garlic sprout harvest season
As May approaches, the garlic sprout harvest is in full swing in Moshan town, which is one of the primary areas for producing garlic sprouts in the Lanling county of Linyi city, East China's Shandong province. Local garlic farmers are working tirelessly in the fields, contributing to the vibrant atmosphere of the harvest season. Nearby, the sales points for garlic sprouts are managed by local town staff, ensuring an organized and bustling environment.
Lanling county has established a leadership group for garlic sprout production and sales, as well as a command center to coordinate comprehensive efforts, ensuring the stable production and sales of 315,000 mu (21,000 hectares) of garlic sprouts. Commerce, agriculture, finance, and other related departments are collaborating to strengthen production management services, stabilize the market, and assist garlic farmers in selling their produce at fair prices. Additionally, the county is actively conducting special safety production operations, identifying risks and hazards to ensure the safety and stability of the garlic sprout production and sales process.
To attract more buyers and support a thriving market, Lanling county has implemented a series of policy measures and planned several promotional activities. It is the joint effort of the whole town that fosters a supportive and secure environment for garlic farmers and buyers. (Edited by Du Xiaping)
