Technologies make spring plowing, management of wheat more efficient

From the fields to the agricultural hub of Shangtang town in Qingyun county, the widespread use of modern agricultural machinery has made spring plowing and management more efficient.

In Shangtang town, agricultural support continues to strengthen, with scientifically arranged spring plowing and sowing work to increase grain production and the incomes of farmers.

In villages like Beiwang and Xisa, self-propelled four-wheel sprayers are spraying nutrient solutions in wheat fields.

Spraying operations covering about 18.67 hectares are currently underway, aiming to spray weed killers to increase the yield and quality of summer grains.

"Since October last year, temperatures have been higher than usual, leading to excessive growth in wheat fields. To support wheat growth and reduce grain losses, measures to control this growth have been implemented, laying the foundation for a productive wheat harvest," said an official from the agriculture and rural affairs bureau of Qingyun county.

"We will rely on demonstration parks and large-scale farms to promote the use of new varieties and technologies, promote more scientific planting among farmers, and drive the county's agricultural industry to new heights," the official added. (Edited by Yang Yi)
