Shandong's Weicheng deepens cultural exchanges with Japan

During the event, the delegation visited the president of the Japanese Seal Engravers Association and Ozaki Aoiishi, a leading scholar in the Japanese seal engraving field. It introduced efforts to conserve the Wanyinlou in Weicheng district and expressed gratitude to Ozaki Aoiishi for his attendance at the art festival held in Weicheng, which was in memory of Chen Jieqi (1813-84), a renowned Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) collector and epigraphy expert.
Ozaki Aoiishi expressed his admiration for Chinese epigraphy culture, praised Weicheng district's achievements in promoting epigraphy culture, and expressed his willingness to continue participating in epigraphy cultural activities.
Following the visit, the delegation held a symposium with the Japanese Seal Engravers Association, during which a long-term cooperation and exchange agreement was signed between the Chinese Chen Jieqi Research Association and the Japanese Seal Engravers Association in the field of epigraphy and seal carving.
Throughout the event, the Weicheng district government delegation also engaged in exchanges with the office of the People's Daily Overseas Edition's Japanese monthly magazine and the Japan Overseas Chinese Real Estate Association. (Edited by Xie Zhenzhen)
