The second staging of the Caoxian County Hanfu Culture Festival, which concluded on April 3, was held with great style and panache.
Caoxian county is located in Heze city in East China's Shandong province and hanfu is traditional Chinese-style apparel.
The week-long festival – held in Langya Ancient City, in the Hedong district of Linyi city in Shandong – was more than a commercial showcase. It was a fusion of tradition and modernity, blending innovation with heritage. The event integrated boutique sales, new product launches, immersive experiences, fashion shows, industrial tourism and cultural lectures, creating a rich cultural experience for attendees.
The goal was to showcase hanfu's development achievements, expand sales channels and promote the industry's high-quality development – all the while enriching cultural life and promoting Caoxian county's image in the province.
Over 100 hanfu designers and manufacturers participated, showcasing 550 new spring/summer hanfu designs. Experts attended from prestigious universities and associations, including the Communication University of China and the China National Garment Association. E-commerce giants like Douyin and Pinduoduo discussed cooperation, while 314 hanfu distributors and 926 influencers and livestreaming anchors from over 50 cities joined in, boosting the visibility and brand influence of Caoxian's hanfu.
Statistics on the event showed a significant increase in exposure for participating hanfu companies, with on-site orders totaling 51 million yuan ($7.05 million) and over 800 intention orders. (Edited by Zhou Yunlai)
