Its two classic costume dramas, "Shuangsuoshan" and "Baihuzhang", hailing from Yangxin county, Binzhou city, have been selected for the list of Excellent Traditional Opera Repertoire Reproduction Plans by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
The ministry is introducing the implementation of the Excellent Traditional Opera Repertoire Reproduction Plan from 2023 to 2025, aiming to produce about 300 exemplary traditional opera repertoires to foster a renewed appreciation for this timeless art form.
In order to protect Donglu Bangzi, a local opera genre on the brink of extinction, the Yangxin cultural and tourism bureau began to carry out exploration and protection work in 2014, resulting in the adaptation of many excellent traditional works and bringing about new upgrades.(Edited by Lin Li)
