Special working method allows elderly residents to receive refined elderly care

Since the beginning of this year, Ningyang county's Wenmiao sub-district has been using the "1365" working method to promote the development of community-based basic healthcare into "refined healthcare".

The "1365" working method is a method in which personnel from three different parties are mobilized, six categories of services are streamlined and clarified, and five work mechanisms are optimized.

The sub-district has optimized and coordinated service resources, with community workers providing various services to assist residents.

Additionally, the sub-district has integrated medical resources from three health clinics in the area, exploring a "1+3+N" fully-integrated family doctor service model based on family doctors and complemented by specialized doctors. This model includes residents signing contracts and establishing records, conducting regular home visits, and monitoring the situation of special populations on a regular basis.

For example, in the community clinic of Nijia village, located in the sub-district, doctors provide medical consultations to residents, offering health guidance and suggestions. Other medical professionals offer various charitable medical services, such as pulse diagnosis, meridian massage, acupoint pressing, and blood pressure measurements.

"Many thanks to the medical staff in the community. I have mobility issues, as well as diabetes and high blood pressure. The community doctor frequently comes for check-ups, and the volunteers are very caring of us elderly people. If we run out of medicine, we can contact them and they will help deliver it to our homes," said community resident Liu Meilan.

The considerate medical services in the community have made elderly people like Liu feel increasingly secure in their daily lives. (Edited by Yang Yi)
