The Lingang district financial bureau in Weihai city has been prioritizing education development, and has increased funding across various educational sectors such as preschool education, elementary school education, high school education, vocational education, and higher education this year.

The district will intensify its financial education expenditure management, focusing on supporting student aid and ensuring funding for elementary school education.

This year, Lingang district will continue to ensure support for students in need. It has done so by allocating 4.11 million yuan ($569,007.04) for student aid funds. Around 2,100 students are expected to benefit from this financial aid.

The district is expected to allocate 12.56 million yuan in subsidies for public funds related to elementary schools to ensure the supply of educational resources.

With a planned investment of 12 million yuan, the district aims to improve and enhance weak points in the primary education sector. This money will be used to renovate school buildings and purchase teaching materials and equipment.

According to a bureau official, efforts will also be made to improve the utilization of financial funds by working with municipal education and audit departments to create a comprehensive education fund management system. (Edited by Jiang Ting)
