Industrial clusters to take shape in Shandong county

Sixteen enterprises and 11 strategic cooperation institutions signed agreements to build a presence in the Liancheng Maker Industrial Park in Qihe county, Shandong province, on March 23.

These establishments involve high-end manufacturing and new materials, and are expected to inject vitality into local economic development.

The industrial park has attracted over 70 projects and developed advantages in industrial clusters dominated by high-end manufacturing, new materials, and biotechnology.

Construction on the fourth phase of the park, which houses over 70 factories with a combined area of 80,000 square meters, also commenced on the same day.

In recent years, Qihe county has established numerous industrial parks in the Qihe Economic Development Zone and the Qihe High-tech Industrial Development Zone to cultivate industrial clusters valued at more than 10 billion yuan ($1.38 billion). (Edited by Gong Jun)
