Weihai community enhances elderly well-being with vibrant initiatives

In Weihai's Yuequan community, a heartwarming endeavor is underway, aiming to uplift the lives of its elderly residents.

The "Happiness Cafeteria" has become a cornerstone of this effort, offering flavorful meals and a welcoming social environment. To ensure that the elderly have access to freshly prepared meals, the community has collaborated with reputable catering establishments to operate the cafeteria. They have also issued "Happiness Cafeteria Love Cards" to individuals aged 75 and above, guaranteeing stringent quality control and providing nutritious meals.

As the weather warms up, the community's service center has become a lively hub, attracting many elderly residents. The center now offers a variety of activities for elderly residents to participate in, including chess matches, reading clubs, calligraphy classes, table tennis games, dancing classes, and traditional Chinese performances. This center has also created a platform for neighbors to engage and discuss community matters.
