A small cleaning new-energy vehicle (NEV) was recently spotted cleaning the roads in Hexiaozhuang village, Niuquan town, Laiwu district.
The NEV has reduced the workload of sanitation workers and attracted the attention of villagers.
This year, the village invested 23,000 yuan ($3,196.24) buying the NEV to clean the main and secondary roads, which span over 10 kilometers throughout the village.
The vehicle is capable of sweeping, rinsing, and recycling, with features such as efficient sweeping speed, minimal dust emission, low energy consumption, and a high level of safety.
During the cleaning operation, the vehicle simultaneously activates its rotating brush and dust suction system, cleaning the road surface by sweeping and suctioning fallen leaves, debris, and sediment into the vehicle, reducing dust on the road. Additionally, it sprays water on the roads to further reduce dust.
The vehicle is highly efficient, according to its operator Li Hong, and it has made her work much easier. The vehicle also provides shelter from the wind and rain for sanitation workers.
The vehicle has helped not only save on manpower, material resources, and finances, but also improved cleaning quality and work efficiency and laid the foundation for further rural sanitation work. (Edited by Yang Yi)
