Longkou city in Shandong province has been promoting the high-quality development of rural e-commerce in response to the country's call to propel the transformation and upgrading of rural commercial and trade enterprises and foster a comprehensive and deep integration of e-commerce with the industries in rural regions.

On March 12, the second phase of live-streaming e-commerce basic skills enhancement training kicked off at the Live-streaming E-commerce Industrial Park in Longkou. Participants included large agricultural households, small and micro-enterprises, and ordinary rural residents.

For Zhang Jinyu from Xiwutong village in Lutou town, who recently retired and returned home to care for her elderly father, this opportunity was a chance to learn new skills. She remarked, "Having a foundation is essential for everything. It's good to have some understanding of basic things. The government happens to provide such free learning opportunities. After mastering it, I'll consider doing live streaming." Her enthusiasm was shared by others, such as Wang Caina from Gaojiahe village, who used her phone to capture training content to reinforce her memory.

The effect of the training is clear. Liu Yunxia, who is responsible for preserving Longkou's intangible cultural heritage of line weaving, emphasized the potential of live streaming not only to preserve traditional culture but also to market and sell Longkou's unique products, thereby increasing revenue.

Among the first phase trainees, one person attracted 600 simultaneous online viewers during his first live stream, achieving remarkable results. (Edited by Jiang Ting)
