This spring, a group of eight juvenile swans were spotted along the Xisha River Reservoir, following the initial sighting of three adult swans on Feb 13. This is 20 days earlier than the previous year.

These arrivals underscore Xiajin county's success in ecological and environmental protection. Through dedicated efforts to restore natural habitats, the county has seen a remarkable increase in wild bird species.

Xiajin's thriving wetlands and mudflats serve as crucial rest stops for these majestic birds, offering them a place to recharge during their migratory journeys.

This development is a promising indicator of the county's successful environmental stewardship and a beacon of hope for future conservation efforts. (Edited by Cai Liting)
