Yantai Nanshan University partners with Universitas Sumatera Utara to boost intl education

Yantai Nanshan University in Shandong province's Longkou city and Universitas Sumatera Utara in Indonesia signed an agreement for joint graduate student training on Feb 29.

The joint program is set to begin enrollment this year, offering majors in computer science, civil engineering, mechanical engineering, architectural engineering, chemical engineering, industrial engineering, and mechatronics engineering.

In accordance with the outlined plan, it is required that students devote their first semester at Yantai Nanshan University towards the study of foundational and specialized courses. Subsequently, the second and third semesters are to be completed at Universitas Sumatera Utara, wherein the focus shall be on the remaining specialized courses, thesis composition, and thesis defense.

This collaboration marks Yantai Nanshan University's first graduate student joint training program and its first formal connection with an Indonesian university. It is poised to help advance the university's internationalization efforts and provide students with secure, high-quality opportunities for international education.  (Edited by Jiang Ting)
