Raft of 28 major projects break ground in Linyi city
A raft of 28 major projects broke ground on Feb 26 in Lanshan district of Linyi city – in East China's Shandong province – involving a total investment of 30.9 billion yuan ($4.29 billion).
They comprise 13 commercial and logistics projects, 10 emerging projects and five infrastructure projects.
The Lingong smart agricultural equipment machinery manufacturing plant is one of them. It aims to develop new, efficient and intelligent agricultural machinery and equipment.
"Through electrification, intelligence and unmanned technology, low-carbon emissions and product iteration will be achieved," said project leader Li Jinliang.
"In the field of power machinery, especially high-power tractors, the project will help break the bottlenecks in such core technologies as agricultural machinery power transmissions and hydraulic electronic controls," Li added.
The implementation of the project is said to further extend the mechanical manufacturing industry supply chain, drive the rapid development of support industries and promote the transformation from supporting component production to complete equipment manufacturing.
Moving forward, plans are for Lanshan to further speed things up this year, as well as to improve the quality and efficiency in the construction of projects – taking the district's industry scale towards 150 billion yuan. (Edited by Chen Chuxuan)
