Even as the remnants of the spring snow linger, the farmers in Chengwu county – located in Heze city in East China's Shandong province – are already bustling with agricultural activity.
With a keen eye on the post-holiday market, the county is witnessing the vibrant emergence of early spring vegetables across thousands of mu (1,000 mu equals 66.67 hectares).
From celery to eggplants and tomatoes to cucumbers, these out-of-season delights are now being harvested and shipped nationwide.
At the same time, over 100 agricultural experts are working side by side with the farmers in the fields.
They're providing crucial guidance on scientific fertilizers and water management, along with advanced techniques to fortify pest control measures.
This collaborative effort ensures the early and fresh availability of spring vegetables, promising a fruitful season ahead.
