Dong'e county is promoting the innovative development of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) culture, aiming to become a pioneering area for the preservation and development of TCM culture nationwide, leveraging the advantages of ejiao, or donkey-hide gelatin, the foundation of TCM, and policy support.

A comprehensive medical and health complex project is currently under construction, with an expected annual sales revenue of 1 billion yuan ($139.06 million), serving as a benchmark for the medical and health industry.

In addition, the Zhenyuan Bencao Chinese herbal medicine health technology industrial park has been put into operation, collaborating with multiple pharmaceutical companies to produce 3,000 metric tons of paste formulations, 60 million bottles of medicinal drinks, 1 billion granules, and 1,000 tons of powdered formulations annually, achieving the in-depth integration of TCM culture and modern health concepts.

Dong'e county has also implemented breakthrough projects in ejiao and biopharmaceutical industrial clusters, forming a comprehensive model for the development of the big health industry, integrating both medical and pharmaceutical bases and medical care and health bases.

Focusing on the integration of cultural tourism and TCM health care, Dong'e county has unearthed its historical value and constructed a complete industrial chain for TCM cultural tourism, driving the development of the TCM big health industry.

The county has also invested 420 million yuan into the implementation of integrated TCM development projects, aiming to establish a national characteristic TCM big health industry base by building a national medical experience hall and a TCM big health industrial park. (Edited by Yang Yi)
