In the Dudian subdistrict of the Binzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone – located in Binzhou city in East China's Shandong province – odd jobbers recently queued for interviews at a recruitment market after the Spring Festival holiday.

The market has undergone a fresh transformation, now appearing orderly and clean, providing a well-organized environment for job hunters. The changes are all being attributed to the Party building efforts of the sub-district.

The sub-district has been actively addressing issues and undertaking tangible action, in order to benefit folks. It's been deepening its social governance, uniting the efforts of Party officials and the public and continually improving the well-being of locals, according to Wang Zhongxin, the secretary of the Dudian subdistrict Party working committee.

With the support of the Party-mass service center and Party branches in communities, various study activities have been organized in WeChat groups.

Party members are being encouraged to enhance their understanding of the Communist Party of China through online platforms such as Xuexi Qiangguo app.

Furthermore, the sub-district has introduced an innovative eldercare service model, benefiting over 4,900 residents, including 790 individuals aged 60 and above.

These senior residents can now engage in various activities in their canteens, including playing chess, practicing calligraphy and participating in other enjoyable pastimes.

Moreover, over 70 frontline service teams, comprised of Party members and volunteers, have been established to provide tailored assistance and organize educational campaigns, cultural and sports events – as well as to promote scientific knowledge among residents. (Edited by Jin Yongxue)
