On Yuangezhuang street in Chujiatang village, Laishan district, Shandong's Yantai, cherry blossoms adorn the branches, their white petals mimicking snowflakes and heralding the onset of spring.
These orchards are alive with frost-like blossoms, each emitting a fragrant, romantic note. The spectacle of blooming cherry trees transforms the landscape, turning spring into a dazzling display of floral beauty.
Farmers inside the greenhouses are diligently pruning the trees, optimizing both flower and fruit development to enhance the quality of the cherries. They share their excitement: "This year, the blossoms appeared a few days earlier than last, meaning we'll be able to get them to market sooner and at better prices."
The greenhouse manager highlights that cherry varieties, prized for their taste, size, transport durability, and consistent yield, will be ready for harvest and distribution by early April.
