The 2024 "volunteer with love" Lei Feng volunteer service event was launched at the square of Cangwan Park in Zhucheng city, Weifang, Shandong province on March 2.

The event also featured a large gathering for Lei Feng volunteer services, offering activities such as policy promotion, free medical consultations and haircuts, consumer assistance, intangible cultural heritage displays, and the adoption of tree seedlings.

Additionally, there were volunteer project showcases, exchanges, and Lei Feng-themed cultural performances aimed at fostering a culture of advocating and engaging in volunteer services within the city.

Zhucheng has established professional volunteer teams such as the "medical fitness volunteer service team", strengthening the city's spirit of volunteerism.

On the same day, the city also presented flags to 41 volunteer teams and conducted a collective signing ceremony.

In recent years, Zhucheng has been focusing on building itself into a city of volunteers. The establishment of volunteer teams has continued to pick up steam, leading to a diverse array of volunteer services and nurturing relatively mature volunteer projects such as "public welfare markets in communities", which have garnered a positive reaction.

Zhucheng has over 186,000 registered volunteers, which means there is approximately one registered volunteer for every six individuals. Volunteer services have extended across various industries. (Edited by Huang Junyao)
