Spring Festival bash lights up Shandong's district
The Hedong district of Linyi city – located in East China's Shandong province – really embraced the recent Spring Festival with a great array of activities, turning the cultural and tourism scene into an exciting hotspot.
Major scenic spots in the region staged a delightful blend of traditional customs, intangible cultural heritage experiences and themes which centered around welcoming spring and sharing blessings.
One of the stars was Langya Ancient City, stealing the spotlight with over 100 vibrant performances that offered a rich cultural experience to both locals and visitors alike.

Another top performer was the Dragon Park's New Year temple fair, which offered a wide variety of art forms and numerous popular attractions that drew people eager to join the fun and frolics.

Statistics revealed that Hedong district achieved great success during the Spring Festival holiday, with a total of 765,000 visitors and a surge in comprehensive tourism revenue to 497 million yuan ($69.04 million). This represented whopping year-on-year increases of 50 percent and 51 percent, respectively, showcasing the district's growing appeal as a cultural and tourism destination in Shandong province.
