'Encounter China, Encounter Dingtao' Spring Festival cultural exchange event held in Russia

Under the direction of Ding Chong, an overseas cultural exchange ambassador in Dingtao district, Heze city, Shandong province, and president of the Nizhny Novgorod Student Union in Russia, the "Encounter China, Encounter Dingtao" Spring Festival cultural exchange event was successfully held at the Confucius Institute of Linguistics University of Nizhny Novgorod in Russia on Feb 9.

The event showcased "Shandong handmade" cultural products from Dingtao district to over 100 Chinese and foreign people, celebrating the Chinese New Year together.

At the event, foreign visitors were continuously drawn to the "Caozhou braided safety knot", "Dingtao sachet", as well as Spring Festival couplets, calligraphy, and other traditional Chinese crafts. 

At the end of the event, Ding presented handcrafted paper-cut artwork from Dingtao district as a gift to Jing Jinghua, director of the Confucius Institute, conveying the district's desire to engage in cultural exchange and cooperation. The gesture was aimed at building strengthening the friendship between China and Russia.

Dingtao district will take this Spring Festival cultural exchange event as an opportunity to organize cultural exchange activities in different overseas cities through multiple channels, promoting the spread of Dingtao's intangible cultural heritage items and "Shandong handmade" products around the world.
