In the live broadcasting room of Shandong Shangfu Biotechnology Co in Beiguan village of Dong'e county, Shandong province, Wang Shuangshuang enthusiastically promoted products to online viewers through Kuaishou, a leading content community and social platform, on Feb 7.
Prior to her current role, Wang worked as a salesperson in a local supermarket, earning a monthly salary of over 3,000 yuan ($417). After a two-month training course on livestreaming commerce, she became a skilled livestreaming saleswoman.
There are numerous e-commerce livestreamers similar to Wang in Dong'e county. To accelerate talent development, the county organized livestreaming training sessions in every township, focusing on e-commerce theories, livestreaming account setup, practical e-commerce operations and management, and techniques for short video filming and editing. The initiative has greatly benefited many participants.
Addressing the shortage of talent in the e-commerce industry, Dong'e county worked with multiple e-commerce enterprises on an employment and recruitment event.
Thanks to the policy support and other measures, the agricultural products of Dong'e county, such as ejiao products, Yellow River carp, golden pears, and strawberries have entered the livestreaming rooms of influential hosts, reaching consumers nationwide.
Dong'e county has successfully made it onto the nationwide list of the top 100 counties in agricultural e-commerce. In Beiguan village, for example, the number of e-commerce enterprises has increased to eight, with an annual sales volume of 200 million yuan, creating jobs for over 600 individuals.
