Shandong’s county amplifies agricultural strengths with reishi and pear

Guanxian county in Shandong province recently hosted a successful promotion conference for its renowned reishi and pear in Jinan, the capital of the province. 

The event, sponsored by local government and provincial media group, marked a significant milestone in the county's agricultural branding endeavors.

Guanxian's agricultural prowess, particularly its reishi and pear industries, took center stage. With over 10,000 reishi production greenhouses covering 666.67 hectares, or 10,000 mu and an annual output value of 3.05 billion yuan ($428.22 million), the county exemplifies excellence in agricultural production.

Emphasizing the importance of product quality and promotion, the county is accelerating its agricultural brand construction. The reishi's inclusion in the 2024 Shandong Provincial Government Work Report underscores its strategic significance in provincial agriculture.

Strategic collaborations, such as the agreement signed with JD Logistics, further reinforce Guanxian's commitment to agricultural branding development.

Guanxian is poised to leverage its reishi industry as a key driver of rural vitalization. The integrated industry model will encompass cultivation, processing, sales, education, and cultural tourism, setting a precedent for rural development.

The event featured innovative approaches to brand promotion, including a livestreaming area for online influencers. This interactive platform showcased Guanxian's agricultural treasures to a wide audience, enhancing market recognition.
