Weihai, Shandong welcomes Spring Festival with blooming butterfly orchids

Inside Weihai's Yilin Butterfly Orchid Production Base in Shandong province, a vibrant scene is unfolding, as thousands of butterfly orchids are coming into bloom, adding a splash of color to the bleak winter days.

With the Chinese Lunar New Year approaching, the flowers, known for their vibrant colors and a blooming period of three to six months, are easy to care for and are in high demand.

Wang Yichen, manager of the production base, said that the orchids, due to their lush and colorful appearance, perfectly complement the festive atmosphere, making them a popular choice for the Spring Festival. As demand soars, the base is working tirelessly to meet consumer needs.
