Shandong county celebrates rural culture and tourism festival

The 2024 Spring Festival Shandong Rural Culture and Tourism Festival, held in celebration of the upcoming Loong Year, was recently celebrated in Shandong's Yanggu county, building anticipation for the Spring Festival.
During the launch ceremony in Yanggu, folk performances and local agricultural products took center stage, creating a vibrant festive atmosphere.
The festival, with the theme "Celebrating the Lunar New Year in Rural Areas", aims to enrich rural culture, showcase the local landscape, and stimulate rural vitality, providing a strong cultural foundation for economic and social development in rural areas.

The event showcased a variety of activities including stilt-walking, lion dances, and other traditional performances, with crowds coming to witness the cultural displays and the diverse range of local agricultural products exhibited at the booths.
In recent years, Yanggu county has been actively promoting cultural projects for the benefit of its people, transforming local fairs and festivals into platforms for showcasing rural vitalization and cultural integration.
Looking ahead, the county plans to continue leveraging its traditional fairs and festivals to organize cultural events, aiming to revive and showcase local folk performances and cultural activities as well as creating a lively and festive atmosphere for the upcoming Chinese Lunar New Year celebrations.
