In the greenhouse of the Wanmu ecological park in Dutang town, Dingtao district, Heze city in Shandong province, planters are leading migrant workers as they harvest, sort, and load vegetables such as chili, eggplant, and cucumber.

These off-season vegetables are being transported to the market, not only boosting the incomes of farmers but also enriching the "vegetable basket" during the winter.

The prices of vegetables this winter are more favorable than previous years, and the yield is also good. Upon seeing the neatly arranged baskets of vegetables in the carriage, the planters could not hide their smiles.

"The vegetable market changes every day. Eggplants can currently be sold for almost six yuan ($0.83) per kilogram. At this price, I expect I can sell over 10,000 kilograms this year, bringing in several thousand yuan," said planter Wang Ruilin with a smile.

"In addition to greenhouse cultivation in the Wanmu ecological park in Xulou village of Dutang town, there are now over 400 vegetable greenhouses, in nearly every household, turning it into a renowned village known for its vegetable industry," said Zhao Kai, head of the rural vitalization office in Dutang town.
