Elegant Chinese knots charm South Korean conference
Wei Yunliang, a cultural ambassador from Shanxian county – administered by Heze city in East China's Shandong province – and president of the Peony Beekeeping Industry Cooperative in Chungcheongnam-do province in South Korea, recently took center stage.
He did so by making a star appearance at a recent beekeeping conference in the country.
Wei added a touch of Chinese culture to the event by decorating his stand with intricate Chinese knots, capturing the attention of a raft of fascinated South Korean attendees.
"Chinese knots are unique items from China," Wei said. "By incorporating them into the booth, they not only added a beautiful aesthetic but also brought an element of elegance, contributing to the festive atmosphere of the conference," he added.
Chinese knots are ancient artworks – representing traditional Chinese culture and wisdom, symbolizing happiness, family reunions and good wishes for success.
The vibrant red Chinese knots, with swaying tassels, created a visually striking stand at the event, infusing them with a rich Chinese cultural atmosphere.
Many South Korean visitors were intrigued and approached Wei Yunliang, wanting to buy the decorative items.
