Dong'e county in Liaocheng, Shandong province has been taking measures to optimize its public utilities since 2023.
For example, the county has established a smart management platform for water, gas, and heating, optimized and upgraded the revenue system, enhanced the WeChat payment system, and launched electronic invoicing services. As a result, users can now access installation services through various channels such as the online portal, mobile app, and WeChat official account, without the need to commute to the government service centers.
The water, gas, and heating service providers in Dong'e county have been offering door-to-door services and gathering feedback from users through phone calls, on-site visits and discussion sessions to improve their offerings.
In 2023, water, gas, and heating service providers handled nearly a hundred cases related to water pressure, construction renovation, pipe bursts, gas price consultations, and service interruptions.
"The technician not only gave me tips on water conservation, but also came to my house to inspect and analyze the cause of high water consumption last month,” said a resident surnamed Wang, who lives in a community in Dong'e county.
Dong'e county will continue to optimize its public utilities and bolster efforts to create a new service model that is comprehensive, segmented, and grid based. (Edited by Yang Yi)
