In a significant advancement in modernized elderly care, a rehabilitation hospital in the Hedong district of Linyi city – located in East China's Shandong province – has implemented an innovative model within its nursing home.

The model is said to offer comprehensive rehabilitation training and health services to its residents.

One of the beneficiaries of the initiative is 59-year-old resident Niu Bo, currently at the receiving end of the rehabilitation training provided in the comfortable and supportive environment of the facility.

The integration of professional medical services and attentive care from the nursing staff has created an environment that ensures residents like Niu Bo feel both at ease and secure.

In addition, by tailoring its offerings to the specific needs of the elderly residents, the facility efficiently provides health testing, chronic disease intervention, lifestyle guidance and rehabilitation therapy.

This comprehensive approach has positioned the nursing home as a model for the diversified and multi-level development of elderly care services in the district.

Most notably, Hedong district has embraced a forward-thinking approach to its elderly care, establishing a smart elderly care information platform in recent years.

The platform monitors the entire service process – evaluating progress, quality, effectiveness and patient satisfaction – creating a complete closed loop. The initiative is said to help ensure the standardized use of funds, guaranteeing that the elderly receive tangible services and benefits. (Edited by Zhou Yunlai)
