Brightly colored dragon lanterns welcome in Chinese New Year

The skilled artisans in the Luqi lantern factory – in the Hanting district of Weifang city, in East China's Shandong province – have recently moved into high gear to make lanterns with the dragon as the theme, to welcome in the Chinese New Year.

As the upcoming Lunar New Year is the Year of the Dragon, large lanterns depicting the mythical creature are now entering the peak selling season.

As a result, the brightly colored and uniquely shaped lanterns are now quite literally shining brightly in the marketplace. (Edited by Chen Chuxuan)
